Family Files Suit Against Store After COVID-19 Related Death

Walmart employee’s family files suit against store after his COVID-19 related death. According to the lawsuit, Plaintiff Wando Evans first reported symptoms to his supervisors at Walmart at the beginning of the March, but nothing was done and Mr. Evans continued to work until he was sent home sick on March 23rd. He was found dead at his home two days later.

The lawsuit alleges Walmart was negligent in failing to follow the then CDC guidelines by failing to provide PPE, follow social distancing guidelines, and that it failed to properly clean its store.

After Mr. Evans’ death Walmart implemented new procedures to clean its store and protect its workers.
