Laddey, Clark & Ryan Cases Among Top Verdicts of the Year

For the second time, the Personal Injury law practice of Laddey, Clark & Ryan, LLP once again had two of the Top 25 verdicts of 2019 in The New Jersey Law Journal’s recently published compilation of New Jersey’s Highest Ranking Verdicts and Settlements, reported by VerdictSearch.

The fifth highest verdict in New Jersey – and the second largest premises liability case – with an award of $5 million, was in the case Bernard Sklar and Ann Sklar v. Wells Fargo Bank NA, United States Maintenance Co. and Martin O’Boyle Landscaping Inc.  A premises liability case, Laddey Clark & Ryan’s Andrew Fraser represented Bernard Sklar when he injured his neck in a fall on ice at a Wells Fargo Bank branch.

The 17th highest verdict – and the fifth largest motor vehicle case of the year – with an award in the amount of $1.455 million, was Nicole Kaufman v. Kaitlyn Jenkins and New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Co.   A motor vehicle case, the plaintiff, represented by Laddey Clark & Ryan’s Timothy Dinan and Andrew Fraser, had to give up her medical career due to injuries sustained in the accident.

Laddey Clark & Ryan was one of only four law firms that had more than one case in the Top 25.

“We are thrilled to once again be included in the top verdicts for New Jersey,” says Andrew Fraser, Co-Chair of the Personal Injury practice at Laddey, Clark & Ryan, LLP.  “More importantly, we are pleased that our permanently injured clients received the justice they deserved.  We try cases differently from most attorneys and the results speak for themselves.”
